Hi Sergey,

A little help please..

I just got my reader, and managed the first recovery on my own, a 512Mb stick based on the OTI 1002168. A simple read, and convert to disk image.

But I now have two virtually identical Sandisk 4Gb drives.

The nand chip is SDTNKLCHSM-4096.

Which cfg file do I need for this? Or what configuration data?

I used SDTNIGHSM-4096, amended to 4096Mb and changed ID to suit the ID read from the chip.

But the data don't look right, no FAT and loads of verify errors. Same on both chips I tried.

edit: Just noticed that every other byte is "00"

Both chips are clean.

Thanks!
Сергей

Show config gives:

Code:
D:\NAND Reader\Flash_Extractor_v346\SDTNIGHSM-4096(1).txt
MNG      = SunDisk
ID       = 45 cc 94 65
Bits     = 16
Page     = 2112
Block    = 0x0

COL      = 2
RAW      = 3
READ     = 30
SBACK    = 0
RE_Down  = 4
RE_Up    = 2
SE_      = 0

Read_ID gives:

Code:
Read_ID  45 b7 96 a5  Error
Read_ID  00 00 00 00  Error
Read_ID  00 00 00 00  Error

I made the modification to reader.

Still show many, many errors on verify.

Still not looking good Sad

Code:

Read_ID  45 b7 96 e5  Error
  Start 0x0
  End   0x108000000
  Size  0x108000000
  Block 0x0
Verify...
  Diff: 00042000
  Diff: 00063000
  Diff: 000c6000
  ...etc...etc

I read the chip two times, and compare reads with Winhex. Both same.

Yes I did add wire. Join bottom empty connector to pin next to it.

Picture below, is correct?

I've now swapped words in the dump, looking a bit more like data.

P.S. This 300K dump is from the beginning, not from where "FAT" is found. If I try to dump from there, it actually dumps 310K and will not ZIP or RAR to less than 304Kb!
