Hi Everyone,

I have a Verbatim micro SD card that is giving me an ID of 98 00 90 A2 76, I can see some data in the dump but it's very little and does not look correct.

I cannot see the ID in the FE Reader database and I think it should be something else.

It's similar to a bad ID jeremy told us about but I cannot get the correct ID from this chip

Does anyone have any ideas on how to read this chip correctly?

Hi Mark,
Have you played around with the NAND Console, from downloads\other\ with things like what JB posted

You might find out something if you are lucky

do you have pics of both sides? I have bought quite a lot of Verbatim MicroSD as donors/research and may have one similar to look at, or I can send it to you to play with.

if not, maybe you can match with Arvikas database and see what the real ID might be. not sure how it will help, but a small piece in the puzzle.

I haven't come across this myself. I saw a post from Bolo saying that he didn't connect VCC and got a good read, but different chip vendor : http://flash-extractor.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=65292&highlight=#65292

Maybe possible the controller is interfering with it?
