Hello,

Please find below instruction how you can implement small option as "Mark Errors which choosen byte" to help solve issue with ECC back write issue.

I think that illustration can bring more informations.

wouldn't it be better to have a tool that will reread a chip at each sector with bad ecc, using different RR values? like pass 1, chip is read. Pass 2 find 1st badd ecc sector, reread until good ecc, go to next bad sector... have a timeout or retry x many times value.

No - ECC is calculated here in diffrent way so it's not possible with FE. Only solution is mark bad data with known pattern which repeats and which we can then replace with correct one using script

How is new Calc Statistics button useful? Is there an ECC retry script I don't know about?

I think it will not work

Because image is unxored, while dump is xored

With this layouts we can not save original xored dump with ECC = ON

Options works great - we just assembled one image based on H9TP32A4GDD 32_1122 Xor 4983 where ECC back write was not possible

The only way to save dump with ECC = ON is use Assembler = Raw
(for this layouts)

But then you lost all SA information

At this point you can use Raw Recovery

Or you need somehow extract SA info from FE
May be Bolo use BN / SN logs
May be he get info from other software

Anyway at this point you need write your own BN / SN assembler

I can not make export of SA, and make image processing same way as FE make with dumps
Because this is very large job

Ask me time to time when you have such case
May be i find way to make ECC Fix work
